Melissa Wright is an associate at Theall Group LLP and maintains a broad commercial litigation practice. Melissa’s current practice involves providing insurance coverage advice to policyholders in respect of property and business losses, litigating contract disputes, and representing clients in product liability disputes involving allegations of defects in consumer goods and passenger vehicles. She also has experience with consumer class actions.

Prior to joining Theall Group LLP, Melissa summered, articled and practiced at the Toronto offices of a prominent business law firm gaining corporate tax, dispute resolution and commercial litigation experience and assisting with an appeal at the Tax Court of Canada.

Melissa graduated from the University of Windsor’s Faculty of Law in 2011 and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2012. While in law school, Melissa was actively involved in student government, serving as Law Society President and as a member on the Decanal Search Committee. She received the J.W. Whiteside Award in recognition of outstanding service to the Faculty of Law and the award for the highest standing in Advanced Taxation. Melissa participated in the Corporate Securities Law Moot and worked as a part time research assistant in the area of trade law. Melissa played varsity volleyball while earning her Bachelor of Arts Honours degree in Political Studies at Queen’s University.


Melissa has completed Part I of the CPA (formerly CICA) In-Depth Tax Course and contributed to the publication Canadian Tax Focus.
